digital art

This morning, I decided to pull out my old Wacom digital drawing tablet. It took a little time to set up and get familiar with using it again, but I had a wonderful time drawing and messing around in Illustrator and Photoshop. I recently bought a pack of watercolor paints, so I’m looking forward to getting back into fine art painting as well. Until then, I’d like to share with you my first digital art piece of 2011.

It’s simply titled ‘Child with Butterfly’. The Chinese symbols in the red stamp stand for ‘Peace’. May it bring you a sense of peace as you look at it. Think of the simple joys of childhood. Remember how something as normal as a butterfly fluttering about could send you into a fit of laughter? Take a moment to thank God for the blessings in your life. We each have something to be thankful for.

Today, I’m thankful for the gift of life; for conversations with friends and strangers alike; for God’s provision and the value He places on my life; for the love I can give because I’ve been loved first.

What are you thankful for today?
