t4a australia

This weekend, I have the amazing privilege to speak at the Together for Adoption conference in Melbourne. It is the first time this incredible conference will be in Australia and it is a blessing to be a part of it.

I’ll be leading 2 breakout sessions. I’ve included a brief overview of each below:

‘Rescue • Raise • Rebuild: The Watoto Model’
Watoto Child Care Ministries, based in Kampala, Uganda, has been on a 20-year journey developing a model that provides orphan children with everything they need to grow up healthy and whole. Each Watoto Village has real homes (with a housemother and 8 children), a school, a medical clinic and a church. Come hear the story and find your place in replicating the model to rescue a child, raise a leader, and rebuild nations across Africa.

‘Advocating through Storytelling’
In a world where technology has brought endless information to the palm of our hand, it’s gotten exponentially more difficult to attract people’s attention in a way that engages and calls people to action. Sydney will walk with you through her own experiences discovering innovative ways to not only tell powerful stories, but create an avenue for people to respond and become part of the story themselves.

I’ll also have an opportunity to sit on panel with the topic of ‘Sustainable Dreams: How to Create Something and Sustain It’. Good stuff.

Now I need to finish packing! 🙂 Have a great weekend, everyone. S
