12 going on 13

Many changes have taken place in the life of the Lingberries over the last few months, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to update you. Isn’t that nice of me? 😉

Kev graduated from Hillsong College in early December – of which I am incredibly proud and relieved at the same time! Hehe. Well done, baby! (wild applause)…

We essentially celebrated all December long, with graduation parties, going away dinners (including one for our Swedish housemates Jonas & Mathilda), a couple nights in the city for my birthday, Christmas and, of course, New Years. Whew! It was nuts. Oh – and while we were in the city for my bday, look who we bumped into:

The Les Miserables Sydney Premiere was happening just around the corner from our hotel… so funny! That Hugh Jackman really is something.

In early December, our friend Tim got in touch to chat with us about a short-term role working on Hillsong’s new website. The one role turned into two and we had work for the first couple months of 2013. Such a blessing! We were both very excited to be involved on such an important project. We started in early January and will be wrapping up in just a few weeks. I’ll let you know when the new site is up – going to be great.

January was pretty full as well with our 2 year anniversary (go us), a crazy road trip to Melbourne & Adelaide to hear one of our favorite Christian apologists, Ravi Zacharias, (35 hours of driving in a 5 day time span – yikes), and Frontline Renaissance (our church’s mini-conference for the 25-35s). Then in February we celebrated Kev’s 30th birthday and I surprised him with a motorbike ride to the city! He hadn’t been on a bike in over 3 years. I’d say he was pretty happy about it. 🙂

SO! You are caught up on the last few months. Oh and I failed to mention that I visited my family in the US for most of November… it was incredible! Here are a few fun photos from the trip:

A Baton Rouge tradition – Dinner at the Chimes

My mom and I drove to Houston for my good friend Phil’s wedding… Here we are with Phil and his beautiful bride Meredith

Thanksgiving with the whole fam (minus Kev – sad) out in the country at my parents’ house

You may be wondering now, “What’s next?” Well, let me tell you. Kev and I have decided to spend some extended time with my family in Louisiana, so we’ll be heading to the US on March 19th for about 3 months! Our first stop will be Dallas (direct flight from Sydney) where we’ll spend a few days with friends. Then on to Louisiana and straight down to my family’s 50th reunion (wowsa) in Gulf Shores, Alabama, at the beach. Can’t wait!

I’ll leave it there for now – plenty of time to catch you up on our plans for later in the year. Let’s just say we won’t be staying put much. Hoping to get you a few posts about what we’ve been learning these past 2 years, aka our first 2 years of marriage. So very much to discuss.

Thanks for being awesome. We love you lots! 🙂
